  • One of our specialties is electrical panel upgrades and change outs.  If your home was built between 1950 and 1980 and has not had an upgrade, it is highly likely that your home is equipped with a federal pacific panel (or breaker box). Also if you are planning a remodel, it is recommended to upgrade your electrical services to be compliant with current codes and to provide reliable and efficient electrical service.

  • A service call fee is the fee that is charged in order for the service technician(s) to come out and perform the service. Normally, the fee is meant to cover common expenses associated with each service call. Some of the areas of expenses include travel expenses and travel time, service vehicle expenses, and labor expenses.

For example, our fee is actually two fees combined: the trip charge fee and the service fee. The trip charge fee covers the time, gas/mileage, and typical vehicle expense items. The service fee covers the actual service and labor performed on site.

  • Electric cars, otherwise known as electric vehicles (EVs), require a high-quality electrical outlet installation inside your garage or at your place of business.
There are two main types of electric vehicles:

    • Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) which run soley on electricity stored in their batteries. These vehicles are recharged at stations at home, work, or in other places around town.

    • Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEVs) run on both electricity and gasoline and can be plugged in for charging.

  • Save Energy And Costs With Our LED Lighting Retrofit Services

At Austin’s Texas Electrical Services, we know that a full LED lighting switch is not always simple. The upgrade or overhaul comes with installation costs and time constraints, and can cause quite a disruption to your home or office.

That’s why we offer affordable and convenient LED lighting retrofit options. This allows you to renovate your existing lighting fittings to make them more compatible with LED bulbs, lowering your costs and allowing you to enjoy your new and efficient lighting system straight away.

The light-emitting diode (LED) is one of the most energy-efficient and rapidly developing lighting technologies today. Quality LED lighting lasts longer, is more durable, and offers better light quality than many other types of lighting.

LED lighting can be used in many different settings, and for many different things. These include:

    • Industrial and commercial lighting

    • Kitchen countertops

    • Recessed downlights

    • Holiday lights

6 Reasons Why You Should Upgrade to LED Lighting

LED lighting is becoming increasingly popular due to the fact that it is much more efficient and economical at converting electricity into light. In addition, they are easier to maintain and replace, they’re more reliable, and they are available in a wide variety of colors.

Here are 6 reasons why you should consider an LED lighting upgrade:

    1. Greater efficiency. LEDs emit very little heat (approximately 5% of their energy). In comparison, fluorescent lights release 90% of their energy as heat, and CFLs release approximately 80% of their energy as heat. This means that LED bulbs will not only work better, but they’ll also result in much lower long-term costs.

    2. Wider range of lighting color. LED bulbs are extremely versatile and come in a variety of color and lighting options that are well suited for different applications. This creates safe and productive workspaces, and a home ambiance that matches your preferences.

    3. Reliability. One of the biggest benefits of LED bulbs is that they are very dependable and don’t require any maintenance. They can last over 40,000 operating hours! This means you’ll spend less time changing faulty lights, which not only saves you time, but also gives you big savings, particularly in a commercial or industrial setting.

    4. Energy-efficient. LED lights are extremely energy-efficient. So while their initial cost may be higher than for other lighting options, the return on investment will definitely be worth it. You will begin to see the benefits very soon after your upgrade.

    5. More Flexible With Light Direction. Incandescent bulbs throw light at all angles, making directing that light quite a challenge. However, LED lighting is directional, meaning you can better focus the light where it is needed.

    6. Enhanced safety. LED lights are much cooler than incandescent lights, reducing the risk of combustion and accidental house fires, keeping you and your family safer.
